Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate/ equivalent
Section 13 Trade Test or Section 26D as a qualified electrician
First Aid and Competent B are an added advantage
Driverxe2x80x99s literacy
Medically fit
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
At least 5 years winder and shaft experience
Equipment installation, repairs, maintenance in the shaft
Workshop procedures, installation and maintenance
Legal requirements as per Mine Health and Safety act
Installation and maintenance of machinery including HT switchgear
Maintenance of quality engineering standards
Knowledge of environmental, health and safety standards
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Report all incidents and accident, unsafe condition and unsafe acts
Risk assessments must be conducted for each task
Ensure tools and equipment are sufficient, in good condition and safe to use
All legal inspections must be conducted according to the time intervals and a true report recorded in the record book
Be responsible for sub-ordinates, maintenance schedule, Health and Safety in area of responsibility
