A luxury International Contemporary Mens/Womens Fashion Brand with their Design Centre based in Durban has a vacancy for a talented Designer.
Responsibilities

• Ensure the product is brand vision is aligned with the marketplace opportunity.
• Identify external product marketplace trends across all relevant Product Element.
• Curate the seasonal interpretation of the brand vision through the lens of the company's Product Element.
• Ensure that each style executes on the creative vision across all relevant Product Elements.

Requirements
Qualifications: Design Degree/Diploma.
Experience: 2 - 5 years experience working as a Designer for a leading Fashion House/Retailer essential.
Additional: Strong cadding skills (Adobe Suite). Good technical skills and knowledge of garment construction. Understanding of Luxury Brands Aesthetics. A commitment to learn and apply the company's Business and People Leadership principles. Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel. Proven skills, education design and the appetite to continuously learn and develop oneself. A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business. A sense of urgency executing job responsibilities, prioritizing urgent and important work. An ability to identify, evaluate and suggest business opportunities for today and tomorrow, considering top line and bottom line impacts. An understanding and a passion for the industry in which the company operates and ability to bring learnings in-house to further enhance the business. An understanding of brand, aesthetic and style fundamentals and is engaged in trends and cultural influences. A desire to conceptualize, develop and execute new ideas, designs and products that will elevate the brand. Position located in Cape Town.
