Job Summary A company that offers a comprehensive range of interventions, from the selection of people to be trained and the designing of the course material to the actual training has an exciting opportunity for a quality-oriented Higher Education Coordinator in Gauteng The primary requirement for this position is to co-ordinate administrative aspects of the Academic function in the region as they pertain to compliance with academic policy, educational and administrative support to staff and students in educational institutions. In addition, the position will be to plan, organise and execute the day-to-day functions of learning programmes within the PMI Higher Education (HE) Operations Division in the region NQF Level 5 2 - 3 years relevant experience Experience working in an higher education environment Administration experience at an education institution Project management skills and exposure to project management environment Working knowledge of MS office with strong Excel skills Process Assist Academic Manager with regional accreditation and compliance by upholding policies and procedures Assist Academic Manager with ensuring compliance in the internal audit conducted by the Academic Director and external audits by the HEQC Review learner and lecturer evaluations and implement remedial action if required, in conjunction with the Academic Manager Capturing of assessment results and attendance registers per module Ensuring effective scheduling of Key Accounts and public classes to maximize profit and in align with the classroom policy Liaise with lecturers regarding lesson plans, assignments and tests Preparation and execution of new courses, or Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) and/or workshops Ordering of text books and learner guides Completion of qualification schedules for certificates Co-ordination of campus and venue requirements Updating all learner records on the Learner Management System Adherence to academic policies and procedures Capturing learner attendance and results into client reports Assist Academic Manager with maintaining a growing facilitator database of subject matter experts who meet the CHE criterion including induction and evaluation Oversee academic aspects of graduation Assist with coordinating the activities of the campus supervisor Co-ordinate and be on the Subject Board Send communications regarding resource centre activities via the available platforms on campus Co-ordinate and be on the Qualification Board Be on the Regional Committees, i.e. Quality Assurance, Health and Safety and Teaching and Learning Committees. Assist with preparation of Internal and External Audits Oversee the IT room if applicable Assist with functions at PMI Responsible for the HE archive room Appoints and trains Invigilators for Pre-assessments Arranges the Administration of Pre-assessments Capture and accuracy check certificate information Distribute certificates after graduation Maintenance of venues Venue Schedules Ensure salary claims of facilitators and contractors are processed Assessment and Moderation Manage and control the examination process Appointment of moderators in conjunction with Academic Manager Monitor adherence to policy relating to admission to assessment Learner Support Update and maintain learner academic records Maintain good relationships with learners and ensure learner satisfaction Induction of new students Finance Ensure accurate pipeline projections based on current classes Ensure achievement of agreed class numbers by following up with the learnersTalentCruRecruiter
