Requirements



BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA. Minimum of 8 years relevant supervisory experience post

registration in HV underground and/ or overheads cables

Exposure to operational maintenance management.

Key Performance Areas



Strategizing, planning, supervising, controlling and providing

expert professional guidance and direction.



Controlling daily performance of sub-sections, conducting spot

checks and site inspections, initiating regular theme meetings.



Guiding complex research projects and investigations to obtain

information for the operation, maintenance, repairs and



serviceability of new and existing plant, equipment and



technologies.



Providing a high-level consulting and advisory service across the

High Voltage Area and the industry on policy and strategy



issues, engaging in high level problem solving using information



gained from various sources.



Planning, tracking, monitoring and reporting. Procurement and contracts. Participating in theme meetings to give or receive information on

projects, programs, processes policies, standards, best industry



practices etc.



Participating in workshops, seminars etc. to share information

and knowledge, writing reports and communicating results of



research and information collection.



Setting criteria for planning schedules compiling, checking,

endorsing and submitting to the Branch Management all the



plans and reports on capital projects, operating budget, transport



and plant requirements and expenditure for HV Circuits



Sections.



Checking and signing off all the investigation, information,

research, maintenance, safety, operational and performance



reports prepared by HV Circuits Sections.



Developing long term strategy on staff succession in the

Sections.
