Heavy Duty Earth Moving Diesel Mechanic – Mining Industry Kzn
Job Description
Our client, a leading plant and equipment hire company servicing the mining and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Durban. The company specialises in large open-cast mining operations (quarries) and runs a fleet including excavators (Volvo, Komatsu, Sany) and dump trucks (Bell 30t-50t).
Minimum Requirements:
Matric + Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
3-5 years' post-qualification experience
Advanced knowledge of plant hire vehicles (excavators & dump trucks)
Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems & diagnostics
Proficiency in maintenance tools, repair equipment & diagnostic software
Valid driver's license
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
Willingness to relocate to Durban
