Health & Safety Consultant Hospitality/Tourism
Centurion - Gauteng - South Africa
Reporting to the Managing Director, a proactive Health and Safety Consultant is needed to join a respected consultancy serving the hospitality industry within the security sector.
You will take ownership of monthly retainer clients and once-off projects, delivering compliance, time-bound, client-ready health and safety documentation, audits, and training coordination. You will be confident in managing multiple client portfolios, advising on legal requirements, and translating complex legislation into practical workplace safety measures. A strong commitment to service excellence, risk mitigation, and compliance is essential.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 and SAMTRAC qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Health & Safety role
- Proven experience managing clients independently.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel/overnight
- Development of H&S files and contractor packs
- Hazard identification and risk management
- Scheduling and tracking of medicals, inductions, and training
- Conducting compliance audits and developing action plans
- Understanding of POPI Act, HSE legislation, and document control
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Strong administrative and planning abilities
- Analytical thinker with sound judgement and problem-solving ability
- Team-oriented, emotionally mature, and results-driven
