Job Description


GCI Health is an authorised financial services provider that provides intermediary health benefits advisory services in South Africa. GCI Health is accredited in terms of the Medical Schemes Act (Act 131 of 1998) for the provision of healthcare advisory and intermediary services to clients/members of medical schemes. GCI Health has broker contracts with various health benefit providers including Medical Aid, GAP Cover and Unity Health Insurance as well as Group Funeral Benefits. We provide broker services and post-sale admin query resolution to both individual members and group schemes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Sales to develop a sales pipeline for GCI Health and achieve a sales target of deals closed measured by quarter to achieve new business projections. In do so, the successful candidate will contribute towards GCIxe2x80x99s purpose of changing the face of retirement and our goal of getting 150 000 South Africans in or on their way to a safe retirement by 2025. Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Responsible for growth of both individual clients and group schemes and ongoing advice servicing of the client base.
  • Responsible to ensure that all provider service level agreements and appointment letters are signed, current and in place.
  • Responsible for developing healthcare related educational programs, conducting healthcare related training, and conducting induction training.
  • Ensuring that all administrative and regulatory matters relating to each client portfolio is communicated timeously to operations to ensure processes are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Responsible for relevant sales reports and information and data to all internal and external stakeholders, including executive reports.
  • Responsible for dealing with all queries, ex gratia applications, disputes and information required by the client to the extent it requires advice. The successful applicant will be supported by an administration hub for non-advice related servicing queries.
  • Responsible for benefit and cost comparisons as required and must be able to review and make recommendations on subsidy modelling.
  • Receive and critically evaluate quotes from benefits providers to ensure products are matched to client needs.
  • Perform member presentations explaining the GCI Health offering including presenting proposals on structure and benefits to proposed clients.
Must have requirements:
  • Grade 12 education with NQF level 4 or higher
  • At least 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar or related role.
  • Extensive healthcare experience.
  • CMS certification, certification must be UpToDate.
  • RE 5 certifications.(Advantageous))
  • CPD points up to date.
  • A proven record of achievement as a sales consultant.
  • Computer literacy in Excel and Word.
