Job Description
Arranging for and the issue of personal protective equipment, and work permit
Arranging internal induction and TPT inductions, and liaise with the port from time to time
Planning and coordinating the inspection of various items of plant and machinery on site and arranging for the completion of the necessary registers and inspection.
Incident investigation, reporting incident /accidents IOD cases.
Report to management any deviations that needs to be addressed.
Perform internal audits as well as customer audits and negotiate corrective actions with responsible managers.
Ensure all lifting equipment is checked and tested as per legal requirements.
Ensure all driven machinery i.e. forklifts, ships cranes, mobile cranes are checked and tested as per legal requirements and machine operators are certified
Responsible for safety administration task, and perform all reasonable task as an when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- Health and Safety Diploma related qualification
- Samtrac
- 2-3 years working experience preferable in the maritime or logistic sector
