General Manager (Agriculture) - Port ElizabethReference: PE001364-CV-1Our client in the agricultural industry based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a General Manager. Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum requirements:Masters in Agricultural Science or Animal HusbandryMinimum 8- 10 yearsxe2x80x99 Senior Management experience gained in the Agricultural sector.Experience in dealing with various stakeholders ie Agri Seta, National Forums, Government, Farmers and Community Leaders is essential.Good communication and organizational skills are a prerequisite.Responsibilities:Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation and management of the company, focusing on strategic, tactical initiatives and responsible for the design, operation and systems that create and deliver company services.Ensure that the organization remains relevant and effective in addressing the needs of producers and the industry.Manage and provide strategic leadership and directions to key and core business divisions.Ensure sound leadership of Human Resources and cultivate a culture of excellence.Develop and oversee the implementation of business plans to support the mission and strategic objectives of the organization.Write business plans according to prescription.Negotiate with local, provincial, national and international donors for partnerships and financial support.Engage formally with Partners in Training & Development and sign contractual agreements on behalf of the organization.Maintain good relationships with partners and donor organizations.Please consider your application unsuccessful should you not receive a response within 2 weeks of applying.Package & RemunerationMonthly
