Job Requirements
An Honours degree in Sport Management or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of seven years' experience working within the Sport, Arts, and Culture sector, specifically in a higher education environment.
Prior experience working directly with student populations will be considered an advantage.
Managerial or supervisory experience is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with a working knowledge of basic computer applications.
A valid driver's license.
Duties:
Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing Sports, Arts, and Culture within the university. Oversee staff management processes, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development. Promote the professionalisation of sport in alignment with institutional goals and standards. Design and implement programmes and activities that foster student and staff engagement in Sports, Arts, and Cultural events. Organize and facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for members of the university's Sports, Arts, and Culture community. * Prepare and submit comprehensive reports detailing activities, outcomes, and impact within the Sports, Arts, and Culture portfolio.
