Job Requirements

  • An Honours degree in Sport Management or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience working within the Sport, Arts, and Culture sector, specifically in a higher education environment.
  • Prior experience working directly with student populations will be considered an advantage.
  • Managerial or supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with a working knowledge of basic computer applications.
  • A valid driver's license.
Duties:
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing Sports, Arts, and Culture within the university.
  • Oversee staff management processes, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Promote the professionalisation of sport in alignment with institutional goals and standards.
  • Design and implement programmes and activities that foster student and staff engagement in Sports, Arts, and Cultural events.
  • Organize and facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for members of the university's Sports, Arts, and Culture community.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports detailing activities, outcomes, and impact within the Sports, Arts, and Culture portfolio.
