Job Summary
Manage and apply the functional programme management strategy or define multiple practice strategy within the business, influencing the horizontal adaptation.
Accountability: Strategy Formulation & ExecutionContributes to the Technology strategy formulation to ensure that it achieves it's short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals in relation to commercial management and information technology.
Formulates the function objectives in alignment to the overall Bank's goals and in collaboration with the leadership teams for Operations, Information Technology, Change Enablement, Digital and Service Transformation, Procurement and Governance and Control
Form an integral part of the contract negotiation process by being the link between Technology, Finance, Procurement and Legal.
Understand the Bank's strategy and translates it into commercial objectives
Monitors team and individual execution against agreed targets and key performance indicators
Provides reports on productivity and other agreed performance indicators to senior management on a regular basis.
Identify Productivity initiatives and build the require business cases to enable senior leadership to make strategic decisions.
Engage continuously with all stakeholders around commercial initiatives, productivity plays and the strategic contracts. This includes Centre as well as various in-country stakeholders, i.e. Country CIO's, Country COO's and Country Procurement.
Accountability: Stakeholder ManagementActively promotes and manages the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to suppliers, internal clients, service providers, business partners, Absa entities and auditors.
Acts as the ARO Technology's representative for Commercial Management and Information Technology issues by liaising with relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
Accountability: People ManagementCoaches, mentors and manages the broader team towards driving commercial objectives and ensuring colleague development with regards to cost optimization, commercial management, procurement procedures and business case building.
Embeds the values and behaviors that reinforce the achievement of the function's commercial objectives and Bank's strategy.
Accountability: Risk, Compliance and GovernanceOversees the implementation of, conformance to, Absa Group Risk and Compliance requirements within the commercial manage domain, in line with set risk appetite.
Ensures the fulfillment of all required governance activities, including tracking and reporting.
Anticipate potential risks within the ARO Technology contract landscape and put in place measures to minimize such exposure.
