HEAD OF VALUE CREATION (Pre and Post Investment | Deal Origination) - Century City, Western Cape, SAR1,700 000 - R2,000 000 Per Annum Negotiable based on Qualification and Years of relevant experience PLUS Incentive Bonus and Incentive Carried InterestOur Client, a highly reputable Infrastructure Investment Management firm is currently expanding their team of professionals and seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Value Creation ("HVC").You will take part in both pre- and post-investment activities. Pre-investment, the HVC will work closely work with the current investment team to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. Post-investment, the HVC will work closely with CEO's and management teams of the Funds' investee companies to help them achieve their full potential.Critical will be the HVC 's ability to assess and confirm each company's needs pre- and post-investment, and monitor execution and results.One would describe you as an entrepreneurial minded professional who has deep knowledge of operations which includes resource planning, demand planning, business planning, corporate strategy, communications, leadership, benchmarking and forecasting.Qualification, Skills and Experience required:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree, with preference given to candidates with an MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Operations, Commerce Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • A CA (SA), MBS or Engineering would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 10 years' work experience in strategic business consulting, operational management (generalist or specialist), or other relevant leadership roles in companies or private equity firms
Particular experience in one or more of the Target Sectors related to deal making and effective transition execution
  • Familiarity with private equity investing and evaluating early and mid-stage investment opportunities in small and medium enterprises (in emerging markets)
  • Experience serving on Boards of Directors preferred
  • Proven presentations skills coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative valuation / analytical / financial skills
  • Knowledge of financial modelling
  • Strong and proven proficiency on MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Key Responsibilities:Deal Evaluation:Manage a pipeline of potential investments at different stages of the screening process, with senior support. Apply infra Impact's investing methodology to craft a high-level investment thesis and together with financial evaluation and investment structuring, motivate transactions to the rest of the deal team.Deal Execution - Due Diligence:Work closely with investment team to lead operational due diligence and other work streams as necessary on new / pipeline transactions
  • Support investment team in evaluating deals, conducting due diligence, and assessing management of potential portfolio companies
  • Assist portfolio company management in developing growth strategies, operational controls and strategic plans that maximize shareholder value and collaborating with portfolio company
  • Management to drive operational and financial improvements;
  • Developing the 100 day plan during due diligence Implementing the 100 day plan post financial close.
  • Participate on Portfolio Company boards
  • Support Portfolio Company management in improving day-to-day operations, execution capabilities, cost competitiveness, and holding management accountable based on key performance indicators;
  • Ensure that other companies within portfolio are collaborating and communicating across our portfolio of strategic initiatives, making sure that the right team members are included to ensure successful delivery of synergies.
  • Contribute to innovation efforts to continue to expand revenue opportunities and increase profitability across all portfolio investments.
  • Assist in managing the recruitment process of key management at portfolios companies
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset through the company culture.
  • Monitor the performance of the assigned portfolio company, identifying areas for growth, cost optimization, and operational excellence, while ensuring alignment with our investment thesis.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPI), and drive operational improvement initiatives at the firm's portfolio companies. This may involve spending extended periods at portfolio company offices
  • Help develop financial and operational reporting templates while leading weekly and monthly internal and external portfolio performance reviews
  • Lead the design and roll out of global best practices across the firm's portfolio companies including operational and compliance policies and processes, and ensure adherence to these processes
Portfolio Exits:
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and execution of exit strategies for portfolio companies, including IPOs, trade sales, or secondary buyouts.
Governance:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practice Governance policies procedures and systems of Portfolio Companies in
