Job Description

The Fun Company is seeking a highly experienced Head of Technical Operations to lead and scale our national technical division across multiple family entertainment venues.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for technical strategy, uptime performance, safety compliance, team leadership and the long-term reliability of arcade games, bowling systems, bumper cars and emerging attractions.

The successful candidate must bring deep hands-on arcade technical expertise combined with strong people leadership and operational management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the national technical team, including technicians, supervisors and contractors. Set technical standards, maintenance systems, safety protocols and escalation processes. Drive maximum equipment uptime, preventative maintenance and fault response discipline. Oversee technical support for new site openings, refurbishments and installations. Manage spares strategy, tooling standards and technical training frameworks. Implement asset lifecycle management and reliability improvement programs. Ensure compliance with electrical, safety and operational regulations. Partner with Operations, Finance and Procurement teams. Develop succession planning and technical leadership capability.

Minimum Requirements

Formal technical qualification (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or similar). 10+ years hands-on experience as an arcade / amusement technician. Extensive management experience leading technical teams. Proven experience managing complex electro-mechanical equipment. Strong systems mindset and ability to build scalable technical processes. High accountability, leadership maturity and operational discipline. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationally.
