This global, top performing investment company is one of Southern Africa's most successful third-party fund management companies. They are a pure fund management business that provides both individual and institutional investors with access to markets across a number of geographies.
They now seek a head of talent management to join their team. You will report to the chief executive officer. This is a great role - you have a stable team - good leadership and a very strong track record of a successful business that has grown successfully.

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to play a critical role in developing and executing talent management / HR strategies that enable the organisation to attract, retain and develop top talent;
  • You will be required to lead HR professionals and implementation of talent management programs that align with business objectives, foster employee development and support the organisation's culture and values;
  • You will be required to work closely with senior leadership to assess and address talent gaps, develop succession plans, and provide ongoing support for career development and growth;
  • You will be required to recruit top talent and continually develop employee value proposition. Lead the design and implementation of talent acquisition and retention programs, policies and other relevant human resource processes;
  • You will be required to collaborate with senior leaders to identify critical talent gaps, develop succession plans, and ensure a strong pipeline of internal and external talent;
  • You will be required to source and co-ordinate training and development programs to enhance the required skills and capabilities of employees at all levels;
  • You will be required to identify coaching needs, source and coordinate to ensure delivery and availability to employees where needed at all levels;
  • You will be required to co-ordinate and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives that foster a culture of belonging and support the organisation's goals;
  • You will be responsible for management of relevant stakeholders & service providers;
  • You will be required to stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in talent management;
  • You will be required to represent the company on relevant internal & industry bodies and events;
  • You will be responsible for preparation, co-ordination and oversight of various internal and external reporting requirement.
CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • You have strong analytical problem-solving skills;
  • You have a keen eye for detail knowing when to dive into the details when required;
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills in English skills at all levels;

  • You have the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;

  • You have honed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform talent management decisions.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You are bachelor's degree in human resources, at honours level;
  • You have a minimum of 10 years current, relevant experience in talent management or human resources in professional services or and financial services;
  • You have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing talent management programs and initiatives at mid-tier and senior levels;
  • You have the ability to recruit and retain knowledge workers; and ensure a happy and successful work space;
  • You have knowledge of relevant employee legislation;
  • You have knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in talent management, including talent acquisition, retention, development and succession planning.
