Are you a strategic and experienced leader in the life insurance and reinsurance industry?
Our client is seeking a Head of Reinsurance to join their team. This is a senior role focused on implementing strategic initiatives, managing treaty placements, and ensuring robust governance and compliance if you have extensive knowledge of reinsurance arrangements and a proven track record of building strong relationships.
Responsibilities:

• Lead negotiations for reinsurance treaties and risk-sharing arrangements, including structuring, pricing, and terms.
• Act as a senior contributor to the execution of the company''s reinsurance strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Advise executive management on reinsurance structures, market conditions, and risk transfer options.
• Perform investigations on the reinsurance and risk-sharing portfolios and make sound recommendations for risk and profitability management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers and clients.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, legal, compliance, and risk teams.
• Manage the performance and development of direct reports.

Experience and Qualifications:

• A degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in the life insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Extensive knowledge of reinsurance arrangements, including treaty and facultative, and structures like quota share and excess of loss.
• Strong analytical, financial, and actuarial modeling skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to balance risk, growth, and cost.
• A qualified Actuary, CA, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
