Role Purpose:

This is a highly senior role that requires someone to be creative in commercial and contractual deal-making, challenging the status quo, setting the tone for continuous change, improvement and working closely with sales, marketing, solutions and services to ensure the sales experience, the client experience and product strengths and weaknesses are understood throughout the organization.

You will be the face of Data Centers and make public appearances, attend events, write articles, make speeches, position the product offering and value proposition of the products and services offered to the market.

This role has got it all. It has the role of a CEO, Product Management, Business Development, Sales Management, Service Management while delighting our clients and enabling our clients to grow, expand and scale across South Africa, Africa and the globe.

Our client is wanting to hire someone who can adapt to an ever changing environment. Data centers are under pressure due to diesel, load shedding issues within the country. Sustainability is key right now within Group.

You will need to take on the mindset of Managing Director. This roles carries a lot of complex projects, big oversight with continuous growth of data center business.

Need to be well versed in concept big strategic programs, migrations of clients potentially.

Beyond that be in tune with what new data center world is looking like and eco systems.

You would also have to take on mostly importantly how to apply investment, return on investments, looking at market reach, looking at best return in marketplace.

Beneficial to have data center experience and understand how this gets positioned in the world.

Certifications and/or experience with the following will be beneficial:

• Product Management, Agile, ITIL, Cisco, Schneider, Uptime, Cloud Fundamentals, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Software-Defined Infrastructure

• Honors or Masters will be advantageous
• Minimum 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Data Centers / Colocation / Cloud / Telecommunications
• Minimum 5 years in management/leadership roles and successfully running a business unit
• Financial Management and doing business cases
• A track record of dealing with C-suite and Data Center / Multi-cloud decision makers
• A track record of positivity, enthusiasm and achieving objectives and sales targets
• A track record of successfully applying GTM strategies and managing P&L and being successful

• Although technical team members in the organization will assist and support the execution of your strategy, aims, objectives and KPIs, the following will be advantageous to the role, team, division, and broader culture.
