Are you a natural leader who is skilled in implementing processes which streamline the distribution & warehouse manage system? Take a look at the details below!
What you will do:
- Responsible for the functioning of the distribution centers in Gauteng & the Western Cape
- Manage the warehouse inventory including inventory controls, stock counts, stock rotation and stock accessibility
- Maintain a system for proper control of goods transferred
- Ensure route optimization and monitor and track deliveries
- Manage distribution costs and extract savings
- Ensure warehouse processes are optimal and identify measures that can improve various processes
- Identify current and potential backlogs and resolve any disputes relating to stock demands and lead times
- Manage staff members and ensure the team operates effectively and efficiently
- Mentor and coach all relevant staff to ensure standards, processes and practices are maintained
v Completed Logistics / Supply Chain Degree (ideal) or diploma
v 10 Years + Warehouse Management experience with 5 Years of the experience gained in Retail
v Strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills who encourages collaborative team effort
v Excellent Planning & Organisational skills with the ability to ensure objectives are met timeously
v Consistently striving for continuous improvement & to ensure existing warehousing & distribution capabilities are on par with leading industry standards
v Own transport is essential
