Job Purpose
To provide actuarial support and business solutions to internal and external stakeholders of Nedbank Insurance, in line with Nedbank's Client Value Proposition
Job Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the Life Product Roadmap. Execution against well-defined plans. On time, to high quality, proactively and collaboratively.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle. Managing product priorities and capacity to ensure optimal business outcomes.
Product reporting: Monthly KPI / KRI reporting with high quality commentary and deeper dive into drivers of results. Regular product reporting bringing together performance and product actions. High quality, insightful Management Committee reporting that drives management actions and decision making.
Board Committee reporting as per calendars and addressing matters arising
Product reviews: deliver regular program of product reviews to assess performance, product competitiveness and product appropriateness for the target market. Identify product improvements / enhancement and determine products' strategic direction.
Monitor and manage product remediation activities.
Act as a product SME and business partner to other areas of the business to collaboratively resolve issues and develop and implement business solutions.
Strong focus on product risk and governance ensuring compliance with Nedbank's frameworks and policies.
Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values.
Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities.
Contribute to the Nedbank Culture building initiatives.
Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems though agile thinking.
Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
Manage performance of direct reports and hold them accountable for performance.
Identify relevant development needs and develop and implement plans to address these.
Maintain a high performing team by agreeing clear goals and measures, regularly discussing and assessing performing and identifying development areas.
Effectively manage a team hybrid working model with a clear in office rhythm and effective work cadence.
Build depth of skills and knowledge in the team of managers by sharing knowledge and insight.
