R 900 000 - R 2 500 000 Annually Cost To Company (Medical aid, R2000 school contribution, free lunch, free gym, biannual performance bonus, training, Market related, Negotiable)

Based in the offices - 5 days a week, required for the seniority of the role and the interaction and engagement with other managers.

Our client a leading software development house in the online gaming world is urgently looking for a Service Portfolio Manager to strategically lead multiple internally focused service teams and support execution of the business objectives.

In order to be considered the following is required:
You'll be responsible for the vision, communication and value realization of the service as well as this you'll work closely with our internal teams in determining the subject matters needed to be covered, support and align with formalized societies and standards across the platform.

Role includes functions which would include end-user, PC, Mac, services, hardware, meeting rooms etc. Proven Customer service is critical, user support management (ITSM), SLA implementation, proven track record implementing technology solutions etc. Kubernetes - specifically in building containerized apps and to deploy to production

  • Strategic experience of leading the entire function - they want the person to have had senior leadership experience i.e: managed managers, operated at the senior leadership level - in the context of our reset requirements/ expectations.
  • Needs to strengthen their Senior Leadership Team
  • Will define and drive the aligned company-wide IT function - Technology, Tools, governance, progress, automaton and AI etc. with a global/strategic/commercial mindset.
  • Drive alignment and contribute to the development and execution of the Organisational strategy.
  • Commercial mindset and experience are a must in their current environment for example: Portfolio demand, planning, execution, Forecasting future resource capacity and cost, infrastructure, license costs etc. Existing resource allocation and utilization. Operations and Project Costing. Drive a continual service improvement plan. Portfolio Reporting with appropriate KPI's
Responsibilities:
  • Business acumen: Deep understanding of the organization's overall business strategy and goals to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Financial management: Skilled in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization, to ensure IT investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver a strong ROI.
  • Vendor management: Strong vendor management skills, including negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Change management: Skilled in change management, including implementing new technology solutions and managing the impact on people, processes, and systems.
  • Talent management: Skilled in talent management, including recruiting and developing a high-performing IT team, providing career development opportunities, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Data management and analysis: Skilled in data management and analysis, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to make informed business decisions.
  • Compliance and security: Deep understanding of compliance and security requirements and ensure that the organization's IT systems and processes meet these standards.
  • Collaboration and teamwork: Skilled in collaboration and teamwork, including building relationships with other departments and stakeholders to deliver successful IT projects and initiatives
