Job Description


Experience required:-
Minimum 8 years experience in IT, 4 of which is in a senior managerial position.
Proven track record of software development, solutions. architecture and design, application development and Database technologies.
A track record of implementing IT architectures and IT strategy development.
Experience in delivering and managing organisation-wide IT projects.
Experience in Database technologies and networks.
Key performance areas:-
1. Strategy Development
Develops and drives the Shout IT technology strategy.
Explores and leverages IT trends to create business value consistent with Shouts current and future requirements.
Identifies a roadmap and sources technology platforms, solutions and functionalities to meet future requirements.
2. IT Operations Management
Drives the formulation of Shouts enterprise architecture and business system plans, assessing cost and feasibility, and ensures the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the organisation.
Manages IT projects and implements opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
Ensures best practice security measures and technologies to de-risk the company.
Creates platforms (analytical tools; dashboards, etc.) to ensure all functional areas of the business have access to best-in-class analytical tools and systems.
Ensures the establishment, communication and training of Standard Operating Procedures to support all technology platforms.
Anticipates business disruption and implements contingency plans and technology solutions to ensure business continuity.
Create contingency plans for data recovery to ensure seamless accessibility to information.
Provides regular updates and reports on project milestones and progress.
3. Vendor Management
Negotiates and concludes favourable contractual agreements with technology partners.
Ensures selection of technology partners is appropriate to meeting the companys cost and functionality requirements.
Develops Service Level Agreements with technology partners, including favourable penalty clauses and acts as the escalation point for non-delivery.
Conducts product and vendor evaluations ensuring best-in-class technologies and service.
Formulates and manages contractual agreements with contractors and technology partners, including negotiations of costs and timelines.
4. Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Develops enterprise standards to ensure data security.
Develops standards for organisational IT governance to ensure cyber security compliance with IT SOPs and minimise risk.
Ensures all IT related policies and procedures are established and communicated.
Ensures adherence to local and international governmental and Funder security requirements.
5. People Leadership
Leads and manages the IT team to motivate and engage them, to achieve maximum productivity and the achievement of targets.
Establishes annual performance goals, scheduled performance reviews, provides regular coaching and staff development opportunities.
Demonstrates leadership qualities and organisation values
6. Finance
Ensures that any current or future commercial risk is minimized or mitigated.
Develops the IT budget and assumes overall accountability for delivery against budget.
Monitors expenditure against budget and provides solid justification for approval of any extraneous expenditure requirements.
