Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa
A senior HR leader is required to oversee the full people agenda for a fast-paced, multi-site operation in KwaZulu-Natal. This role partners closely with regional leadership to build organisational capability, strengthen culture, and ensure the HR function enables business performance.
You will lead the implementation of the HR strategy, ensuring policies, processes, and people practices are consistently applied and aligned to business priorities. Core focus areas include talent management, leadership development, performance improvement, organisational design, engagement, wellness, and employee relations. You will guide and coach managers at all levels, drive the People Capability Cycle, and ensure substantial succession depth across key roles.
Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong IR competence, and the ability to influence, problem-solve, and lead through change. You will manage people data and reporting, translate engagement insights into actionable steps, and champion initiatives that enhance the employee experience and workplace culture.
Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in HR/Industrial Psychology; postgraduate studies is advantageous
  • 68 years HR management experience
  • Strong IR capability and knowledge of labour legislation
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching ability, and partnership skills
Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-outlet environments is advantageous
