Job Description

Karri is a fast growing fintech business on a mission to make school payments quick and simple for both our schools and their parents, and build smart money habits for the next generation. Parents and students make use of the Karri Card, a Mastercard for students managed by parents on the Karri app.

This is an individual contributor role, supported by the Karri team, with potential for expanded responsibilities as Karri grows.
Responsibilities include:

  • Understand the customer: maintain a deep understanding of the youth banking challenges facing parents and students
Understand the Karri solutions: maintain a deep understanding of the Karri Card product * Own the go-to-market strategy: Test and refine the strategy, messaging, and execution for both channels - via schools and direct-to-parent.
  • Run the school sales process: Prospect, pitch, demo, close and onboard schools
  • Optimise the direct-to-parent channel: Refine and execute strategies to increase parent awareness, acquisition, and engagement through in-app messaging, marketing, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Drive adoption and usage: Identify the highest-impact levers to drive card issuance, usage, top-ups and purchases.
  • Manage roll-out: Hands on management of card roll out at schools
  • Collaborate across teams: Work with product, ops, marketing and customer support to improve tools, materials, and campaigns.
  • Engage with end-users: National travel and face to face meetings to spend time with school staff, parents, and learners to understand usage patterns and pain points.
  • Plan ahead: Short-term and long-term planning to support strategic business goals
  • Report: Regular reporting of key metrics against targets
  • Monitor the market: Keep abreast of developments locally and globally
  • Optimise internal tools: Work within our CRM system to manage and track the sales pipeline
What will help you to find success in this role:
  • A passion for changing the status quo, with a clear desire to work in a forward-thinking tech company and a willingness to grow with the company as it expands
  • A seasoned B2B and B2C Sales Manager with key account sales experience
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Ability to draw insights from data and customer engagements, and translate into actionable tactics
  • High energy, charismatic individual
  • Resilience and tenacity; being firm and fair
