Job Description

Strategic Finance & Budgeting

• Partner with Senior Managers to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and project financials.
• Provide clear financial insights to support decision-making and ensure contract compliance and reporting.

Cash Flow, Working Capital & Treasury

• Own end-to-end cash flow management, liquidity planning, investments, insurance, and banking relationships.
• Ensure day-to-day accounting and controls support operational needs and long-term strategy.
• Optimize working capital, capital structure, and returns.

Financial Control, Risk & Compliance

• Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to manage financial, credit, and operational risk.
• Lead annual audits, prepare audit files, and manage audit engagements.
• Review and negotiate financial and commercial terms on contracts, credit applications, and purchase orders.
• Oversee payments, pricing, costing, BOMs, and ERP uploads to ensure accuracy and governance.

Reporting, Tax & Payroll

• Prepare and review accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage VAT, provisional tax, annual tax, and deferred tax calculations and submissions.
• Review monthly payroll, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL, before and after bank uploads.

Finance Function Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Implement best-practice systems, tools, and processes to build a strong, scalable finance function.
• Drive cross-functional communication and align finance with overall business strategy
