Job Summary Our Client in Johannesburg is looking for a vibrant Head of Finance, to lead the Finance function of the Company, ensuring that compliance is with all statutory external and internal reporting requirements. The Finance Team is motivated, coordinated, accurate and given the opportunity to develop. The business continually improves and has the information required to make sound business decisions, as a result of the insightful analysis, reporting and guidance provided by the Finance team. Duties and Responsibilities: Directly manage the Companies Finance function, ensuring the full range of duties are undertaken and completed to the highest standard. Designing and setting objectives and building a framework and support structure for these to be achieved. To manage robust and accurate financial management and accounting systems, ensuring compliance with all company and statutory regulation. To prepare the companys statutory and management accounts, organize the statutory audit, and liaise with the external auditors. Providing reports, analysis, trends and KPI's that enable the business to identify and act on improvement areas, specifically including but not limited to pricing, mix, margin, productivity and cost control. Coordinate the preparation and submission of annual budgets in accordance with the Company guidelines Monitor company performance against budget; focusing specifically on gross profit margin, payroll and Indirect costs. Proactively implement, develop, promote, and improve financial and operational processes within the Company. To prepare and circulate regular cash flow forecasts and monitor funds to ensure they are sufficient to meet future operational and capital requirements. Maintain banking relationships. Oversee the preparation and submission of the quarterly group VAT return for the Company as well as liaising with any auditors. Liaise with the pension trustees and auditors to ensure smooth functioning of the schemes and timely delivery of statutory reporting Responsible for the full HR roll, recruiting, employee contracts, disciplinary and payroll Manager of logistics administrator and responsible for controlling freight costs Manager of stock controller and accountable for any stock variances Ensure that the companys housekeeping standards are maintained. This also includes adequate archiving of accounting records. Be committed to health and safety and ensure that you are familiar with all of the Companys health and safety policies and procedures. Develop good working relationships with internal/external service providers Any other ad hoc duties as required Month end tasks are completed by deadline dates Annual audit completed within 2 months of the year end. Achievement of Business plan targets and alignment to Company core values Contribution towards development of Company, in line with business plan Qualifications and Experience: Qualified CA (SAICA) 10 years experience in a similar role; preferably in an Engineering environment Experience SAGE X3 Advanced Excel Up to date and relevant financial legislative knowledge Business decision support experience in addition to general accounting Exerience in imports & exports Experience with Forex and foreign suppliers and debtors Should you not be contacted within 2 weeks from your application to please take it as a decline and was unsuccessful.
