Job Description

Our client, a growing fintech, is looking for a Head of Finance to join their team. This role suits someone who enjoys adding structure, improving processes, and being hands-on when needed. You'll play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the business as it continues to grow.
Take ownership of end-to-end finance operations, financial planning, and compliance across a multi-entity, multi-country group operating in several African jurisdictions
Lead group structuring, treasury, audit coordination, forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations
Own and maintain forecasting models covering revenue, costs, liquidity, funding, and unit economics, including stable-coin and settlement flows
Deliver IFRS-aligned reporting and decision-support dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights
Oversee full accounting operations, including reconciliations, revenue and balance sheet reviews, and the month-end close process
Manage reporting into the Group, supporting consolidation, performance analysis, scenario planning, and governance requirements
Define and manage working capital strategy, liquidity planning, and operational cash and asset management across multi-currency environments
Ensure robust FX management, crypto-to-fiat conversion economics, and counterparty risk frameworks
Maintain compliance with tax regulations across African countries of operation, alongside group-level tax planning and structuring
Partner closely with engineering teams to support the productisation of financial flows, internal tools, reporting automation, and ledger design
Build, lead, and scale the finance team across treasury, operations, and accounting, embedding clear ownership and strong execution standards
Coach and develop team members to operate effectively in a complex, fast-evolving, multi-country environment
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 10 years' experience with 5 years in leadership
Deep familiarity with African regulatory environments
Qualification:
CA(SA) non-negotiable
