The Head of Communications and Fundraising is a key member of the RGHS Leadership team with responsibility for developing and delivering communication and marketing strategies, particularly focusing on print, media and digital channels. The role also has lead responsibility for fundraising and event management for the school, including management of our alumnae relations. This post is available from 01 February 2026 (or by arrangement).

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree in communication and/or marketing is essential
Experience with
event management
,
electronic and social media
is essential
Proven track record of successful marketing and publicity strategies as well as sourcing funding and sponsorships essential
Experience in planning, budgeting, coordinating and hosting of large events essential
Production of school magazines or similar print projects highly recommended
Minimum 5 years' experience in Communication and Fundraising at managerial level highly recommended
Fundraising experience highly recommended
Crisis management capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for:
Lead Rustenburg's communications strategy, including oversight and integration of the RGHS brand identity into written and electronic (email, web, social media) communications
Communications and marketing leadership ensuring we achieve publicity, awareness and parent and learner engagement
Planning, budgeting and developing the marketing and fundraising functions
Event management
* Fundraising leadership, ensuring growth of the portfolio through active alumnae relations management, sponsorship and funding proposal management
