Job Title : Head of Civil Engineering Department
Area: 1 x CPT
Our national client, who has been in the consulting services, seeks to employ an energetic engineer who is open to travelling to sites and clients when needed. The Ideal candidate must be from the consulting services and or building services industry.
Must Have :
- 5 to 10 years in consulting engineering
- 5 years in a managerial capacity
- Must have managed a design and projects team.
- Must have a Pr.Eng, registered at ECSA
- Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have previous experience that is in alignment to the duties below.
- Head up the department.
- Mentor and train staff
- Drive new business opportunities.
- Do tenders, bids and quotations.
- Allocate KPI's per project to the staff.
- Drive the deadlines.
- Define project outcomes and timelines.
- Control and allocate resources.
- Network with external consultants
- High client relationship skills
- Manage stakeholders.
- Manage and control the budgets on each project.
- Manage and control the costs and hours worked on each project.
- Accurate forecasting knowledge
- Understand costing models and pricing in accordance.
- Control and monitor legal documentation.
- Ensure a well-documented project plan and project scope.
