Job Description

Purpose



Responsible for the end-to-end asset strategy development and implementation which includes the optimisation, utilization, and pro-active maintenance of assets. The role is required to advice senior management on maximizing its investments in assets, equipment, and facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities



Assist with the development and implementation of a strong leadership culture throughout all levels of Business Unit.

Foster a desire to learn, promote accountability and a culture of recognition, and encourage a shared vision among all employees.

Develop strategic, tactical, and operational documents such as Asset Lifecycle Plans, Strategic Asset Management Plan, and Asset Management Plans.

Develop and maintain up-to-date detailed asset registers for all facilities, including owned, leased, and rented.

Develop and execute the planned maintenance programme strategy to ensure business continuity incurs minimum downtime of assets.

Provide input targets in terms of availability, reliability, and cost optimisation of assets.

Develops and recommends asset management policy and strategy to minimise total cost of ownership, increase reliability and meet performance standards throughout the Group.
Evaluate and approve quotation as requested and ensure all approval are in the best interest of the company and are sustainable.

Enforce compliance with all applicable regulations and standards with regards to the machinery.

Ensuring that all regulatory training is completed in accordance with the company and clients' requirements.

Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with relevant regulations and policies.

Facilitates communication among clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.

Establishes, implement, and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and standards relating to technical assets.

Negotiate contracts with outside vendors.

Provide weekly and monthly reporting, detailing scheduled versus actual maintenance activities and resource usage with regards to assets.

Monthly EXCO report to be prepared detailing progress on all elements, indicating month-on-month improvement.

Skills Required



5 - 8 years' experience in a similar role. Degree in Mechanical Engineering Asset Management experience covering administrative, contractual, and financial aspects of a facilities management contract. A recognised Engineering/ Mechanical or Building Engineering qualification.
