Job Description
This revered privately-owned investment banking firm is looking to hire a Head of Alternative Debt.
Job & Company Description:
The firm is one of the foremost independent Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Investments and Debt Advisory teams in South Africa. The individual will be required to grow the existing debt book which offers lending to mid-sized corporate clients. Duties include raising funds from existing and new institutional and private debt funders, expanding funding to existing and new mid-sized corporates, establishing and managing of a credit fund as well as growing the existing listed note program.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Chartered Accountant / Other related financial qualification
- CFA / FMVA qualification beneficial
- 10 years+ deal making experience within the full debt scope
- Exceptional report writing and presentation skills
- Experience in leverage and acquisition finance or structured lending
- Familiarity with the formulation and/or management of a credit fund
- Institutional and private fund raising
- Strong academics, background in team sport and leadership experience
