Job Description
This is an opportunity to lead an actuarial team responsible for analytical analysis and capital modelling, to ensure financial stability and lead SAM-compliant technical provisions modelling within a dynamic life insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead actuarial modelling for SAM-compliant technical provisions and capital models.
- Oversee Prophet model development, maintenance, and enhancements for life insurance clients.
- Deliver quantitative projections for annual ORSA and regular SCR analysis.
- Engage with Auditors and prepare internal and external capital reporting.
- Develop financial insights for product development and reinsurance structuring.
- Drive the automation of capital modelling infrastructure and consistent processes across the business.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage and align client needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop an actuarial team to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Fellow or Associate Actuary specializing in life (fully qualified Actuary preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Advanced understanding of SCR components of a life insurer under Prudential Standards.
- Strong knowledge of the Insurance Act, Prudential Standards, and IFRS 17.
- Expertise in discounted cash flow models, reserving methods, and Prophet coding and model development.
- Cell captive experience will be an advantage.
You will play a key role in ensuring financial stability while driving actuarial best practices and mentoring a skilled team, within an environment that supports innovation and robust technical delivery.
