Job Description
A newly built bespoke safari camp is looking for a HEAD GUIDE / ASSISTANT MANAGER
We are looking for an individual with an expert knowledge of the African bushveld, a dedication to conservation, and the polish required for 5-star hospitality. The camp will have seven new suites, one honeymoon suite, and one existing suite in the old main building. Catering for 18 guests in total.
Please note: This camp will only open in Feb/March 2026
Candidate requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of guiding experience in 5-star establishments
- Must have FGASA NQF4 as a minimum
- FGASA Lead (Advanced) Trails is essential
- Must have all guiding documentation up to date
- Possession of a valid driver's license & PDP is essential
- Must have experience walking in a Big 5 Reserve
- An understanding of vehicle & lodge maintenance is an advantage
- Must be well-presented, confident, and well-spoken
- Must be passionate about conservation and guests
- Must have a flexible attitude, a sense of fun, and anticipate guest needs
- Must reference incredibly well
- Great interpersonal skills
- Past management experience would be a bonus
