The incumbent would provide strategic direction in the development of the Data, Analytics, Insights and Technology capability at an enterprise level. This role will interface with all chapters and Group Technology to determine business requirements using data, insights and technology as an enabler. Key to this is determining how to future proof the Nedbank brand through insights developed and overseeing the implementation of technology (internal and external). Ensures that the use of marketing technology and data must yield commercial benefits.
Job Responsibilities
Establish guardrails
Develop marketing data and technology guardrails according to the strategy and best practices
Monitor budget to ensure effective use of enterprise resources
Develop quality assurance program and framework to be applied to all missions
Orchestrate the implementation and maintenance of data and technology through the development of procedures and standards
Set and manage service level agreements relating to missions and chapters
Manage team members
Manage team members by allocating resources to missions
Manage agile implementation by managing the sprint backlog, allocating resources and team members
Identify training and capability building needs
Managing and collaborating in strong cross-functional / agile teams
Perform people management activities such as performance management, recruitment, coaching and mentoring, capacity planning and training and development
Analyse reporting for marketing technology and data
Oversee the development of systems, data sources and technology
Analyse market trends, business strategy to inform technology strategy and implementation
Driving the commercial results and output, with a constant view to iterate and optimise
Provide advisory role to marketing teams in the delivery of missions / campaigns, while leveraging insights, technology and data
Review specialist technology requests from mission lead and determine level of support for mission
Consult and provide advice on best practice and technology guardrails to missions to identify strategies to better technology in marketing
Monitor data across missions and in line with trends, identify improvement opportunities and remedial actions and communicate these across chapters and missions
Develop and communicate guardrails throughout missions
Work with agencies to execute technology related missions and driving efficiencies
Chapter contribution
Participate in the development of the Data, Analytics, Insights and Technology chapter initiatives for the overall planning, and performance management, monitoring and tracking of media effectiveness and to better manage risks

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Field of Study
Business science qualification; Marketing relevant qualification
Minimum Experience Level 7 - 10 years' experience
6 -7 years management experience

Experience in Managing a Team
Technical / Professional Knowledge Expertise in data, analytics and technology (generalist)
Written and oral communication skills
Analytical mindset
Experience working with web analytics and tag management platforms
Experience in building and maintaining standardised data collection frameworks
Experience with CRM, CDP and DMP platforms desirable
Working knowledge of HTML, SQL, JavaScript and CSS desirable
