Package: R28,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to join a luxury safari lodge in the North West. This role is perfect for a culinary professional with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences in a high-end hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership & Team Management Lead and manage the kitchen team ; ensuring efficient operations and high-quality food preparation Train; mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Collaborate with lodge management to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction Culinary Excellence Plan; prepare, and present menus in line with lodge standards and guest expectations Maintain consistent quality; presentation, and portion control for all dishes served Innovate and develop new menu items that reflect the lodge's luxury positioning and seasonal availability Operational & Compliance Duties Manage kitchen inventory, stock control, and supplier relationships Ensure strict adherence to health; safety, and hygiene standards Maintain smooth kitchen operations during peak periods and special events Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury lodge, hotel, or high-end restaurant Strong leadership; organisational, and team management skills Exceptional culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices Ability to work flexible hours ; including weekends and public holidays Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences What Is On Offer: Competitive; negotiable salary based on experience Opportunity to lead or support a luxury lodge kitchen in creating memorable bush dining experiences Be part of a high-performing; passionate lodge team
