Restaurant in Kloof street in Cape Town is looking for a New Head Chef
Job Title: Head Chef
Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Summary
The Head Chef is responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of seafood cookery and a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes.
We do have an existing menu so will involve tweaking and improving it.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute menus that highlight the classic italian food
Manage the kitchen staff and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Order and receive food supplies
Control food costs
Train and develop kitchen staff
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef in a seafood restaurant
Strong understanding of seafood cookery
Excellent culinary skills
Proven ability to manage a kitchen staff
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
