Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Course & Spa is looking for a skilled and experienced Head Chef
to manage and oversee all food operations at the Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals, managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day kitchen and food operations
Plan menus and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
Prepare and manage the food budget and control costs
Monitor stock levels, conduct stock takes, and minimize waste
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene standards
Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff
Maintain cost of sales, gross profit, and labour costs in line with budget
Use Clubmaster Food & Beverage and inventory systems effectively
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
1-year Diploma in Culinary Skills or Cookery from a recognised institution
Valid Driver's License
Ideal Requirements
3-year Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts
Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, preferably in a golf club
Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good financial and budgeting knowledge
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of food safety regulations
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: R10000,00 - R14000,00 per month
