Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a vibrant & inspired fine-dining Head Chef for an exclusive & highly sought after 5* game lodge in the Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga. Requirements:
- Well presented with excellent communication skills (English)
- Min of 4 yearsxe2x80x99 recent experience as a Head Chef in a 5* lodge environment (essential)
- Ability to fully manage a small, yet efficient, kitchen team - must also be able to self-manage & take initiative
- Good understanding of nutrition, food allergies restrictions and choices e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free etc.
- Solid management skills with experience in stock control, staff training, menu planning and kitchen policy and procedures
- Must be computer literate
- Health and safety training/ qualification/experience an asset
- Ensuring that the operating standards of the lodge are adhered to
- Menu preparation which includes seasonal rotation
- 3 Year Qualification from a reputable Cookery school/ academy - essential
- Must have a stable work history with contactable references - essential
- Must have a valid driver's license & own transportation - essential
