Management Level Senior Manager
& Summary At PwC, our people in people operations primarily focus on managing the people lifecycle and the day-to-day operational tasks related to managing employees. This includes activities such as employee onboarding, offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, absence management, employee record-keeping, compliance with labour laws and regulations, and managing employee inquiries and issues. These individuals enable HR processes and systems to run smoothly in order to efficiently support our workforce.
Those in human resource operations at PwC will focus on all areas of Human Resources and the business in executing Human Resources related transactions and administrative activities. You will be a primary HR point of contact in the resolution, escalation or routing of inquiries as needed in line with HR protocols and guidelines, as well as be part of a team of problem solvers that help solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Job summary:
This role will support the People Solutions pillar of the People function delivering high volume HR operational activities across the employee lifecycle. The role is focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiencies through process simplification and technology.
Reporting into the SATIC Business Solutions Tower Lead and also accountable to the UK People Solutions Leaders, the role will manage and grow a team of HR professionals operating across a range of HR activities including, Onboarding, Performance Management, Query Management, large scale cycle processes (such as Performance, Reward, Talent, Benefits and Holiday renewal), supporting Career and Talent Coaches in their roles, owning and maintaining people related knowledge on our employee portal and liaising with business stakeholders.
The People Solutions Delivery Senior Manager will hold strong relationships and awareness of how the overall People Function works and will work closely with the onshore teams to understand and plan the resources required to deliver on the book of work. An experienced HR generalist, the role will be the first point of escalation for the SATIC team on technical issues and will be responsible for the delivery of HR services from the SATIC team.
Key responsibilities:
This role will work alongside the UK team:
Acting as a conduit between UK and SATIC to drive strong two-way communication, and embed a true 'extended team' culture that enables the seamless provision of HR service services to PwC UK
Escalation points for behaviours and performance - from UK Relationship Lead (Dealing with resourcing escalations from UK Leaders)
Working closely with onshore People Teams to deliver on new initiatives
Team Leadership
Responsible for the day-to-day wellbeing of the SATIC team
Ensure key leadership messages are cascaded to the SATIC team in a timely manner
Foster a culture where team members are engaged, innovative and take responsibility for their continuous learning and performance
Coach and support development at both an individual and team level to enhance team capability and promote knowledge sharing, including on the job training
Drive qualitative staff engagement and action planning, creating an inclusive culture of trust and openness.
Lead the performance annual cycle for the SATIC team including:
Goal setting
Quarterly check ins
End of year review meetings
Impact tier outcome meetings with coachees
Inputting and advocating for promotion and other career decisions
Writing end of year (EOY) summaries and submitting impact tier ratings on Workday
Manage performance and conduct issues, including ownership of Performance Improvement Plans where required
Delivery
Responsible for the delivery of HR services from the SATIC team
Oversee quality control, ensuring appropriate level of four eye review of key deliverables
Day-to-day responsibility for resource management of the team.
Escalation point for the SATIC team on technical issues
Managing offshore day to day operations including recruitment, allocations and development for SATIC team
Skills and competencies:
Experienced leader of large teams across multiple locations focused on delivering services to internal customers
Previous experience in a generalist role at HR Senior Manager level.
Managed sensitive and complex information from multiple stakeholders
Ability to plan ahead within the cyclical calendar to provide proactive HR support to the business
Effective in working with and influencing others to enable delivery
Proven ability to communicate confidently and effectively - high standard of written documentation, and previous experience of producing professional and robust letters and reports
Experience in establishing a role as trusted business advisor with key stakeholders
Comfortable with change and changing technology and able to lead people - both customers and team - through rapid and dynamic change in how, where and when we deliver our services.
Innovative and able to continually challenge the status quo.
