Overview:



The Feedstock Data Analyst (FDA) plays a critical role in enhancing the operational and financial performance of our harvesting, rehabilitation, and feedstock supply operations. Although this is a desk-based position, the insights provided by the FDA directly impact field efficiency, cost management, and data quality improvement.

The FDA is responsible for analysing data collected, amongst others, by harvesting teams, harvesting data collectors, internal systems, and third-party contributors. The goal is to generate management reports and present actionable recommendations that support better decision-making and ongoing improvement in our in-field operations and feedstock supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:



Monitor and analyze data, amongst others, on: Harvesting (per site, per harvesting team): Volumes, costs, moisture content, quality and hygiene, and tree species. Rehabilitation (per site, per rehab team) Hectares cleared, herbicides used, costs, tree species, quality. Transport (per transport company, per truck): Kilometres transport, cost/km, cost/ton product, fuel efficiency, weight average load, truck availability, downtime.
The above data should be used to identify trends and outliers to improve operational performance and reduce costs.

Prepare detailed and comprehensive reports for the Financial Director and the Harvesting and Supply Director, covering cost analysis and operational outcomes. Identify gaps or inconsistencies in data collection and propose enhancements to improve accuracy and reliability. Provide evidence-based recommendations to SoN management for improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data is used effectively for strategic planning and operational improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a relevant field. Experience in data analysis within an agricultural, forestry, or industrial context is preferred. Strong proficiency in data tools such as Microsoft Excel; familiarity with databases or statistical software is a plus. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a problem-solving orientation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to team members. Ability to work independently in a data-driven, office-based environment.
