Job Summary
Our client a well-known fruit grower and packer in Wolseley has an opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintenance, planning and organising to become part of their team.
Key Performance Areas
- Must be able to conduct basic maintenance of buildings, structures and farm vehicles.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in packhouse
- Performing preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
- Servicing the farm's tractors and implements
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Handyman to log all daily duties, repairs and checks.
- Coordinating with production managers to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations
- Any general ad hoc duties required
- Matric
- 3 years' experience as a Handyman
- Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must have relevant planned maintenance training.
- Experience in the agriculture sector would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Organisational and time-management skills.
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must give attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a valid Forklift license
- Must be able to drive and operate a tractor and forklift
- Experience in cooling systems would be advantageous.
