Job Overview
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Basic knowledge and skills with all tools found in the facility
- 1-2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar/related position
- Licence with own transport
- Standby duties
- Good knowledge of OHS Act
- Plumbing
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Team player
The main purpose of this position:
The handyman is responsible for repairs, maintenance and cleaning of hospital property
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment and quality
- Performing basic maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment
- Repair, maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning
- Ensure public areas are well maintained
- Servicing of cooling towers and air handle units
- Assisting the facilities manager with the maintenance and repair of hospital plant and equipment as and when required
