Job Description

Purpose of the role:

To carry out general maintenance, repairs, and basic installations to ensure that the facility and equipment are functional, safe, and in good working condition at all times.

Requirements:

General Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine inspections of premises and equipment. Identify and repair minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and structural issues. Ensure all repairs are carried out safely and in compliance with company standards. Report major maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor. Assist in implementing preventative maintenance schedules. Carry out basic servicing tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns. Maintain cleanliness of work areas after tasks are completed. Comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times. Safely handle tools, chemicals, and equipment Complete maintenance logs and checklists accurately. Report work completed and outstanding tasks to supervisor daily. Assist with setting up equipment or furniture when needed. Provide basic support to contractors or technicians on site. Perform other reasonable duties as required by management.

Technical skills and experience:

Grade 12 or equivalent Basic training in general maintenance (electrical, or related trades) Minimum of 2 years' experience as a general handyman or in a similar maintenance role Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
