Job Description
Your daily duties will include but is not limited to:
Respond and attend to all maintenance requests and logged on the maintenance log.
Communicate with residents to resolve maintenance issues.
Perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other items.
Program TV's and perform general housekeeping
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Grade 12
Valid driver's license
Very hand's on and technical person.
Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles and/or general building.
Proficiency English & Afrikaans.
Ability to work independently
Strong, healthy interpersonal skills
Passion for older persons
Strong sense of responsibility
