HAIR STYLIST
GOODWOOD - Cape Town Northern Suburbs, Western-Cape (South Africa)
START: A.S.A.P / 01 November 2025
TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Monday - Saturday | 09:00am - 18:00pm / 10:00am - 19:00pm (shifts rotate)
- Sunday & Major Public Holiday | 09:00am -17:00pm (Sundays alternate ON/OFF)
- 1x weekend off per month + days off in the week
- Annual Leave: 3x weeks per annum
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full time / Permanent
SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS:
- R9,000 Basic per month
- Commission (tiered) 25%
- Bargaining Council Fee Contribution
- Trade-Certified
- At least 2+ years experience in a high-end salon, spa or ship environment
- Cut, Colour and Style confident
- Able to style male & female clients
- Able to work retail hours & weekends as per operations
- Thorough understanding of current trends in hair
- Ability to develop rapport with clients, and to understand and help them explain/clarify complex/specific requests.
- Balayage, Colour, Highlights, Colour corrections
- Blow dry - all types of hair
- Retail confident, comfortable with recommendations
- Comfortable with client education
- Confidently re-book clients
- Strong team-dynamic, but able to work on your own without supervision
- Confident and Kind
- Bonus to have knowledge/interest in low-tox living
