Guitar Teacher.
This is a School Governing Body position with effect from 12 January 2026.

Minimum Requirements
B Mus (or higher) with subjects:
Classical
Guitar Practical Specialisation: Guitar; Didactics of Guitar Teaching and Aural Training
Five (5) years of guitar teaching experience at all levels, is required
Individual guitar teaching (Gr 8-12) is required
Training of guitar ensemble/group is required
Valid SACE registration will be required.
Involvement as examiner/adjudicator in a guitar context is recommended
Candidate must be able to teach in English
Duties and Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
Academic teaching: Grade 8 -12 individual classical (formal) guitar teaching (From beginner level to ABRSM Advanced Certificate level)
Assessment of students as required
Extra-curricular responsibilities: Training a guitar ensemble/group. Assistance with music concerts
Expected Hours of Work:
* Hours of work is between 10-25 hours a week
