Job Summary ? We're Hiring: Guide & FOH | Free State | Live-In Position A premium safari lodge in the Free State is seeking an experienced Guide and Front of House (FOH) team. Ideally, we are looking for a couple, but two single candidates will also be considered. ? Location: Free State ? Live-In Position ? Roster: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off ? Meals provided while guests are in camp ? Salary: R13,000 each | R26,000 couple package Guide Requirements: Valid South African Guide's Licence & PDP FGASA NQF 4 with Backup Trails (Lead Trails beneficial) Minimum 3 years' Big 5 experience Valid First Aid certificate Strong communication, hosting & interpersonal skills Self-disciplined; punctual, respectful, and team-oriented Basic vehicle maintenance & radio communication knowledge Guide Responsibilities: Conduct game drives, bush walks, and wildlife experiences safely Share knowledge of wildlife, birds, plants, ecology & conservation Host guests during meals and drinks Vehicle and equipment maintenance Comply with game driving protocols Provide emergency response when necessary Camp support: transfers, luggage, maintenance Handle rifles according to protocol FOH Requirements: Previous waiter or restaurant floor management experience preferred Guest-focused; hardworking, and eager to learn Knowledge of wine, cocktails, food, and menus Basic understanding of stock rotation & control FOH Responsibilities: Ensure table setup with linen, silverware, glasses Greet and attend to guests, provide menus Maintain good communication between kitchen and servers Know all menu items & preparation methods Clear tables and maintain clean, hygienic restaurant Maintain a clean uniform at all times ?
