Seeking a highly organised, proactive and customer focused individual to join our team as guesthouse operations manager on a farm just outside Plettenberg Bay

.

This person will be responsible for daily operations of the guesthouse and wedding venue.

This role requires a versatile individual capable of managing various aspects of hospitality, from reservations and guest services to staff supervision and identifying property maintenance issues.

It involves overseeing and participating in breakfast preparation and serving to guests, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Preparation of planning schedules which includes managing inventory.

Conducting regular inspections of rooms and the overall property to ensure attention to detail, cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to quality standards.

Owners are actively involved in running the business and so the role is specifically focused at managing the daily operations including training and managing guesthouse staff.

Requirements:

ability to multitask and demonstrate initiative, attention to detail is imperative, ability to manage staff and any staff dynamics, initiative to manage stock levels and present clearly articulated purchase orders, ability to plan ahead based on occupancy, excellent time management and organisational skills, honest, dynamic and professional to ensure a friendly and helpful guest experience, flexible working hours - prepared to work weekends and holidays Min 3-5 years hospitality experience with contactable references

Successful applicant can commute OR relocate to the farm with private modern accommodation (suitable for a single person) available in return for standby responsibilities.

Salary negotiable.
