Guesthouse Assistant Manager2025-05-09 - 2025-06-08PermanentCPT001882HospitalityWestern Cape, HelderbergOur client is seeking presentable, guest experience focused Assistant Manager to manage the daily operations of the guesthouse, ensure high levels of hospitality, supervise staff, and coordinate administrative, financial, and logistical functions for an efficient and profitable establishment.Key Responsibilities:

• Professionally and warmly welcome and host guests.
• Manage all bookings, including online platforms such as Booking.com, LekkeSlaap, Airbnb.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle complaints effectively.
• Supervise staff: scheduling, training, and motivation.
• Recordkeeping and administration (procurement, inventory, cash flow, invoicing).
• Daily inspection of rooms and facilities to ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Liaise with service providers for maintenance and repairs.
• Basic financial management: receiving payments, bank deposits, petty cash.
• Manage social media and marketing where applicable.
• Emergency contact and handling any urgent situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or Business Administration (preferred).
• Minimum 23 years' experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good computer literacy (MS Office, email, booking platforms).
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Valid drivers license (preferred).
• Able to work weekends and public holidays, as needed.
