Purpose of the Role
This position is suited to a mature and energetic individual looking for a new challenge. A well-rounded candidate with a stable and proven track record in guest house or lodge management will be an advantage. The successful candidate must be outgoing, friendly, well presented and passionate about hospitality and service excellence. A strong eye for detail, the ability to work independently and the confidence to lead a small team are essential.
What This Role Involves
Operations Leadership
Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
Conduct property walk-throughs to verify readiness and cleanliness.
Lead daily shift briefings and communicate priorities to teams.
Monitor guest experience and resolve operational issues promptly.
Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up on completion.
Support staff scheduling, training, and adherence to SOPs.
Verify stock counts, monitor usage, investigate discrepancies and repare operational and stock reports for management review.
Front Desk Management
Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest communication.
Perform night audit, reconcile transactions, and ensure financial accuracy.
Maintain guest records, logs, and system entries accurately.
Communicate meal counts and special requests to the kitchen.
Assist with event setup, conferences, and special functions.

Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets and booking/POS systems

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in front office or lodge operations
Hospitality, Finance, Administration, or related qualification preferred
Experience in stock control or operational reporting is an advantage
Package on Offer
R 9000 to R15000 CTC salary negotiable (based on experience)
