We are seeking a skilled Training Manager to lead our training and development initiatives. The Training Manager will be responsible for the Quality of Training conducted at different branches and for the trainers Performance that are under his/her management.
  • Responsibilities & Duties
The responsibility of the Group Training Manager is not exhaustive and may change from time to time as decided by Management. People Responsibility:
  • Prepare and deliver an effective training Programme;
  • Ensure that each trainer under their leadership is properly equipped with skills to fulfill their functions
  • Provide leadership to the team by being an example on time management, peoplexe2x80x99s skills and motivation;
  • Take responsibility for building strong teams that focus on high performance and have minimal spreads between the teams and inside teams
  • Attract and retain skilled sales consultants, through effective training efforts;
  • Upskill trainers and conduct ad-hoc train the trainer sessions;
  • Evaluate trainers on training conducted and provide constructive feedback;
  • Take responsibility to provide an individual development plan for each trainer;
  • Ensure discipline is maintained within the department and consistency thereof (e.g. absenteeism, dress code, or as provided in the companyxe2x80x99s code of conduct).
  • Develop training and trainers schedules
  • Communicate the schedules to stakeholders in time;
  • Ensure that all trainers complete a feedback form with areas of development for each trainee at the end of training.
Business Responsibility:
  • Design and develop engaging training programs, workshops, and materials tailored to meet identified needs.
  • Implement training programs based on research outcomes and planning;
  • Communicate all training programs on a timely basis to relevant stakeholders;
  • Obtain a high retention rate of new consultants from one month after training
  • Recruit trainers, lead, onboard and evaluate new trainers;
  • Track employee success and progress
  • Build quarterly and annual training programs;
  • Provide business with an annual training plan;
  • Place training requirements and resources orders with the finance department on a timely basis;
  • Ensure adherence to the companyxe2x80x99s process by each individual in the department;
  • Keep track of teams attendance and performance and report to the business on a monthly basis
  • Facilitate meetings: Facilitate and chair morning training team meetings;
  • Ensure each trainer provides a lesson plan for the day;
  • Adhere to admin deadlines in submitting Teams documents and reports:
  • Performance Management documents
  • Individual development plan
  • Resource Management (Training projector and laptops etc.)
  • Payroll report
  • Attendance reports etc.
  • Key performance Measures:
1. Training teams performance 2. Retention of consultants minimum of one month after training 3. Reporting to business on training to date and its outcomes 4. Personnel management (absenteeism, late coming, managing staff issues) 5. Quality of training delivered Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a training specialist or similar role;
  • Minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with designing training programmes and implementation;
  • Knowledge of: and ability to impart various training and teaching methods;
  • Excellent decision-making and organisational skills. Computer literate;
  • Certified assessor, moderator, Facilitator;
  • Proficiency in facilitating, coaching and mentoring;
  • Experience in outcome-based education;
  • Sense of ownership of training teamsxe2x80x99 performance and its impact on the companyxe2x80x99s success
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good knowledge of talent management and succession planning methods
  • Extremely high level of professionalism and perseverance;
  • Self-motivated individual; Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Strong Leadership abilities;
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills;
  • Ability to meet business timelines and handle pressure
Job Type: Full-time Education:
  • Bachelors (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Training Manager: 5 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
  • Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (Required)
